We just got home from the Chicago IKC show, managing to avoid ice/snow storms on both ends of the trip. Sabre (10
months old), Nitza (14 months) and Star (10 months) all went along, but only Nitza and Sabre showed. Star slipped on
the ice a couple of days before we left for Chicago and apparently pulled a muscle, because she was limping a bit, so we didn't
show her in Chicago.
There were the usual big crowds for the Saturday and Sunday benched shows in Chicago, so we and the dogs had
lots of fun meeting new people. Sabre was an especially big hit with the crowds. Everybody was tired by the end of the
day Sunday and we're all glad to be home.
It was a fun show, but we didn't win very much. Nitza did win winners bitch on Friday and got two points, but there unfortunately weren't
enough girls showing to have a major since Star wasn't showing.
Sabre had a fine time, but didn't win anything. He looks like a big boy until he's in the ring against the
two and three-year old dogs. Then he still looks like a puppy. But he's looking better all the time, so in a year or
so he may give them all a run.
